Sponsored by GOLF MAGAZINE, World Am Live is home to the event’s nightly entertainment, featuring a variety of bands and comedy acts, keeping tournament participants entertained.

Monday Night: Quiana Parler and Friends

A native of Charleston, South Carolina. Quiana Parler began her professional career singing for Calvin Gilmore of the "The Carolina Opry". After years of being one of the most sought after vocalists in South Carolina Lowcountry, in 2003 she parlayed a placement in the Top 48 of season two of the Fox hit American Idol into the gig she is most known to Triangle audiences for: touring vocalist with American Idol's Clay Aiken. In addition to touring with Aiken, she has shared the stage with a diverse array of national artists ranging from Keith Sweat to Kelly Clarkson. She can be heard on albums by Clay Aiken, Bianca Ryan and Renee Olstead, and has recorded with some of the industry’s most respected producers: Walter Afanasieff and David Foster. She has performed on Saturday Night Live, The View, NBC’s Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, Tyra and numerous other national television programs

 

Tuesday Night: Travis Allison Band

The Travis Allison Band is a five piece band based in Charleston, SC with a diverse lineup featuring piano, acoustic and electric guitars, saxophone, B-3 organ, bass, drums and vocal harmonies. The broad musical variety allows the band to ensure something for everyone.

The Travis Allison Band’s arsenal includes cover material ranging from Classic Rock and Current Music to Motown, Beach and everything in between. Many of the covers we enjoy playing are listed below. Available for all types of private events including weddings, oyster roasts, corporate and college functions, the TAB can do it all!

The Travis Allison Band has enjoyed performing throughout the Southeast and beyond since 1996 playing shows as varied as festival and clubs to 500 guest ballroom weddings to renowned acoustic singer-songwriter venues. Bandleader Travis Allison holds a B.A./Music Degree from the University of Richmond and has been a full time professional musician for twelve years.

 

Wednesday Night: Electric Company

The Electric Company is the Lowcountry’s hottest new DJ concept. Offering the most unique corporate event dance party in the area, the Electric Company is unrivaled by any DJ or dance band in the southeast. If you want to create an event that will have people dancing the night away, the Electric Company is your act.

The band is comprised of D.J. Bryan Mahanes, a.k.a. “The Groove Assasin”, voted “Charelston’s Best Club DJ 2001 & 2002” by the Charleston City Paper, and Greg Walker, a.k.a. “69 Watts”, master drummer and percussionist who has toured with the nationally reknowned band, the Blue Dogs, for over ten years. This combo of musical talent takes the dance party concept to the next level by combining a DJ who uses digital music as well as turntables and vinyl with a live drummer who also combines acoustic percussion with digital technology.

With costume changes, an intelligent light show, glowsticks and a very interactive format, the Electric Company is unlike anything you have ever seen. The Electric Company is guaranteed to create the most exciting and fun atmosphere you could imagine. Your event will be remembered by all for years to come.

Thursday Night: Soul Function

Their hot horns, versatile guitars, jammin’ rhythm section, exciting trumpet work and strong vocals promise to keep your guests on their feet all night long. Your guests will find their high energy and enthusiasm contagious! This 8-piece band plays all types of music ranging from soul & blues, southern rock, oldies and Motown tunes
