Here is how you can win going forward:

– Beginning May 28, we will be giving away 10 watches a week through June 19. Winners will be selected via a random drawing among players registered for the tournament (If you haven’t already entered, do so now!!).

– The big haul will come on Tuesday, August 27, at the World’s Largest 19th Hole. We will select a winner and EVERYONE that is playing at the winner’s course the following day will receive a watch. That means two entire flights will win a SkyCaddie GPS watches!!

– Anyone that gets a friend to register and enter their name in the “Referral Source” box during sign up will be entered in a separate drawing to win one of 10 watches. The referred player must be new, meaning that they have not previously played in the World Am. The drawing will be for those who enter between May 20, 2013 and June 19, 2013.

All remaining watches will be used for contest prizes and giveaways at the 19th Hole.

Golf Channel star Charlie Rymer will be appearing two nights at the World’s Largest 19th Hole. Rymer is the second Golf Channel personality to commit to the event, joining Brandel Chamblee.

A former host of the Big Break and Road Trip: Myrtle Beach, Rymer is one of Golf Channel’s most prominent personalities, serving as a co-host of the network’s popular Morning Drive program.

He is also a regular on Golf Central and a member of Golf Channel’s tournament coverage team. A three-year member of the PGA Tour, Rymer was an All-American at Georgia Tech and won on what is now the Web.com Tour.

Rymer will emcee the 19th Hole activities, entertain tournament participants with stories from behind the scenes on the PGA Tour, and take questions from the crowd.

The World Am will be played August 26-30 on 63 Myrtle Beach area golf courses. The 72-hole net stroke play tournament is open all golfers with a verifiable USGA handicap, and entry includes access to the World’s Largest 19th Hole, where free food, drinks, live entertainment and a golf expo are among the attractions.

More than 3,500 players from all 50 states and 25 foreign countries are expected to participate. Players are divided into five divisions based on gender, age and handicap.

At the conclusion of four rounds of competition, all flight winners and ties advance to the World Championship Playoff at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Club.

Sixty-three Grand Strand layouts will be hosting the World Am, including 12 that have been ranked among the nation’s top 100 public courses by either Golf Magazine or Golf Digest.

Among the high profile courses hosting this year are Caledonia, Grande Dunes Resort Course, Heritage Club, King’s North, Tidewater, Tiger’s Eye and Leopard’s Chase at Ocean Ridge Plantation, Rivers Edge and TPC Myrtle Beach.

Forty-five of the 63 host courses have earned at least 4 stars in Golf Digest’s prestigious Best Places to Play guide, bringing tremendous quality and depth to the tournament’s course lineup.

“The quality and quantity of Myrtle Beach’s golf offerings are what allows the area to host 3,500 players for a 72-hole tournament,” said Jeff Monday, the World Am’s tournament director. “The event has always enjoyed great support from area golf courses, and this year’s lineup is the best yet.”

Barefoot Resort’s Dye Club will be hosting the World Championship Playoff for the first time. The Dye Club has been home to the Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am the last 11 years and is one of the area’s finest facilities.
