Davis Love III has solidified his reputation as a course designer with his creation at Barefoot Resort. Competing with other architects in the Barefoot Resort project, such as Fazio, Norman and Dye, Love was determined to build a course that was unique, visually striking and fun to play.
The Love Course was ranked #6 “Best New Upscale Public Course in America-2000” by Golf Digest and most recently Golf Digest rated #38- “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses- 2005-2006” and #1 “Top 50 Courses in Myrtle Beach.”
New in 2006, a 30-acre lighted practice facility complete with teaching school, New York-style pizzeria and deli sports bar.
