Where Should You Track Your Handicap?
You aren’t a member of a golf club and don’t have an “official” handicap? No worries. There are several websites that include USGA recognized handicap programs. If you want to keep your handicap online, here is where you should go:
1. Golf.com – The World’s Am title sponsor also offers official USGA handicaps online, in addition to giving you professional quality statistics and an assortment of other benefits. Never mind the fact Golf.com is our title sponsor, this is an ideal online handicap service.
2. GolfHound.com– With nearly 1.7 million rounds in its handicap network, Golfhound.com provides a quality outlet as well.
3. MyScorecard.com– A one-stop shop dedicated to providing USGA approved handicaps. It’s very user-friendly and a good choice.
4. GolfGalaxy.com – In addition to being one of the game’s largest retailers, Golf Galaxy also offers a handicap service.

Can we use a Canadian or Ontario handicap?
One of the checks and balances of maintaining an accurate handicap is peer review. While these services will provide a handicap index, they dont allow for the peer review by other players to review what scores are being input in a timely fashion such as input at a golf course's computer where others can review what score was input on a particular day.
We've been using Myscorecard.com for about 8 years and we have 12 guys on it in our group . . It is easy, quick, accurate, and you can print off stuff to take to courses for proof of handicap for tournaments if need be . . and CHEAP (about $10 per year per member)
Frank,
You can use a handicap by the RCGA (Royal Canadian Golf Association)
I maintain my handicap on my local muni's system. What do I ned to do if I leave this course and want to use another system? Thanks.
