Soggy First Day Yields Highlights
The opening round of the 25th anniversary PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship was soggy but not without accomplishment. A pair of golfers recorded hole in ones. Don Lashomb, playing in flight 11 at Tidewater, aced the 180-yard, par 3 ninth hole, and Paula Smith needed just one shot at the par 3, 11th hole at Grande Dunes.
Congratulations to both.
Despite the rain, 32 of the 37 flights completed their round.
It's off to the 19th Hole, where food and drink await.
