Flight Change, Tournament Tidbits
What would the first day in the convention center be without a little excitement? We have a course change for those of you in Flight 27. Litchfield Country Club, on the schedule for Thursday, has been replaced by Willbrook Plantation. Flight 27 will still tee off at 9:30 p.m., and the practical effect is negligible. The courses are located within a half-mile of each other, and Willbrook is an outstanding layout, earning 4 ½ stars in Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play” guide.
As for the weather, we have our eyes on Tropical Storm Fay, but we don’t anticipate it having any impact on the tournament. The storm will likely bring rain and wind to the Grand Strand on Friday, but we anticipate good weather for next week’s tournament.
Construction is underway on the World’s Largest 19th Hole! We will be providing photos in the coming days.
As you prepare to make the trip, a couple of numbers to keep in mind: the tournament phone number is 843-918-4990, and the fax number is 843-918-4949.
